The Warrantless Blogtapping Program

BLOG UNDER SURVEILLANCE: Right Wing News ...
Issue: Has John Hawkins Made RWN a Conservative Echo Chamber?

Well, who am I to say? But some of the RWN stormtroopers are wondering if there's a Stalinist purge of sorts underway at RWN. Check out the commentary in this posting by a guest blogger. Here are some of the comments:

Is it just me, or is there a conspicuous lack of moonbats (or even regular liberals for that matter) on this thread? Does this indicate that there's universal dislike for Hillary?
You know, as amazing as it sounds, she could actually turn out to be a unifying force in America... just not the way she'd hoped for.

...lack of liberal antagonists.
I've noticed that too...did John ban all the moonbats and we're actually out of them?

OK I will say it IF we have no opposing view point to prove wrong it is not much fun. There is no fun in having a bunch of yeah I agree. Where is the challenge in that..... We need to moonbats to show there are wrong.

"...did John ban all the moonbats and we're actually out of them?"

I seriously doubt that he banned them all. And even if he did, S_S_T has proven time and again how easy it is to get back in.
I don't know what's up. Maybe they've all gotten sick of taking the daily smack-down that RWN posters deliver so well.
You know, not to sound paranoid or anything, but it's kind of creepy not knowing where all of those nutters are lurking. Especially with our nation's most patriotic holiday right around the corner.

Well, Good_Ol_Boy, I don't know about all of them, but I can tell you that he banned at least one of them for sure.

Huck,

I don't blame you for being annoyed at Hawkins, but I think you're starting to drink the Kool-aide here.

"RWN stormtroopers?" "Stalinist purge?" You're beginning to sound like some of the hardcore leftist nutjobs out there.

So what if there were a lack of moonbats for one specific thread? Today's posting shot that theory down for sure.

If you want to be annoyed at Hawkins, fine. But the "Stalinist purge" makes Hawkins out to be the better in this dispute.

Dang, Huck, I am truly sorry to hear about your being banned. That sucks. Now I know that we don't agree on a lot of issues, but I can't remember you ever posting anything that was ban-worthy. Hopefully this is all a misunderstanding.
Good luck and Happy Independence Day, my friend.

Hey Huck. Thanks for the visit to my site...

It's definitely not much more than a place for me to vent! One day I'll take it seriously and actually put some effort into it.

I'm very sorry to hear you got banned...I don't know why they would leave a Martha and ban you. I definitely think you added to the dialogue and had great contributions to the comments and will miss you there.

I will bookmark your site, so I can get a different perspective from someone I know isn't a raving moonbat!

Good Luck and I hope you can get back on RWN...we do need alternate perspectives and especially ones that are supported and closer to the mainstream than the KOS kids.

kingfisher - I'm just interjecting a bit of liberal humor with the Stalinist purge and the RWN stormtroopers language. Just using a little bit of the medicine and language that is usually targeted at us liberals.

Hawkins may have a very good reason for banning my account; and if he does, I will publicly accept it. What is most annoying is that he refuses to give anyone (at least anyone that I am aware of) a reason why. But I can't say that I haven't recovered from the initial shock, because it spurred me to really revamp and get going on my own blog, which had been dormant for a while.

I've had fun over the past week doing so. And to that end, I'm extremely glad and appreciative you and others from RWN are taking the time to visit and leave comments.

Bring it on, kingfisher! I love it! It's good to be back in the frying pan with you!

Good_Ol_Boy - Thanks for the kind words. I can't really get my nose that all out of joint. It is Hawkins' site after all. And if he banned me for no other reason than he didn't like me, "dem's de breaks," so the saying goes.

And a glorious, happy Independence day to you, too. Although I'm currently out of the country, my wife will be flying Ol' Glory from the front of our house all day tomorrow. Take care and thanks for visiting my blog. You're always welcome here.

simulacre - I'm glad you visited my blog and left a nice comment here. Since I can't communicate with you all at RWN, I am left to posting here and visiting your sites. I'm gonna be updating my blog rolls soon, and I'll be sure to put your blog (btw, where did the name "Quantum Kitty" come from?) in it under the Con-Bloggers.

Have a happy and fun-filled 4th.

Bring it on, kingfisher!

I must admit I can't refuse a good challenge.

Huck,

Quantum Kitty came from one of my favorite books as a kid: The Coming of the Quantum Cats http://tinyurl.com/2jpryw.That combined with my interest in science and its future led me to the name...it works for now until I get serious and buy the domain QuantumCat.com.

One of my favorite themes to write about (fiction) is a schism in the multi-verse. With a healthy amount of 'willful suspension of disbelief;' an acceptance that Quantum Theory is law and can be manipulated, it makes for some great story lines.

Originally, I started my blog to write about Eschatology and all the different ways humanity can destroy civilization through careless research and dangerous science...Politics and 9/11 got in the way and I found that I needed an outlet to vent about current events. Comment sections on other peoples' blogs were all right, but didn't offer a place where I could post and not worry about finding a topic relevant to my musings...so I used QK…

simulacre - Interesting! I never would have known. Thanks for filling in the details. I wish I could say I had a great story for how I came to name my blog; but, alas, all I could think of was a bad rhyme!

Martha has been banned time and time again. She just ignores it and reregisters under a new name variation! Huck just has more class than she does!
