Apparently, I am just not a decent person and go too far when it comes to leaving comments on conservative blogs. So, I'm giving them up, starting now. It's not really worth the unintended grief and hurt feelings I apparently cause and the resulting anxiety I feel because of that.
From what I have observed you aren't the giving up type. You may not comment anymore on RW blogs, but I think you are drawn to reading what the "other side" writes.
ReplyDeleteYes, don_cos, I will most certainly stay informed of all sides to an issue. It would be anti-intellectual not to consider many perspectives and viewpoints in the shaping of my own. I may not leave comments, but I will be reading, listening, and digesting. As I always have. Sometimes I am taken aback by how strong some people feel about my critical style. I have to say that I thought Cassy overreacted. But, hey, if I have the tendency to cause this more than once, there must be something to it. So, I'd rather not push it. But, I'm not going away or giving up, just becoming a little more quiet.
ReplyDeleteDon't give up or let anyone get you down. If you feel you want to comment on someone's blog, be they liberal or conservative, you should go right ahead. If you're banned, then so what? You have expressed yourself and you can move on.
ReplyDeleteI think that part of Cassy's reaction was in defense of someone she respects and sees as a mentor.
